The strategy of Tukad Badung pollution control using QUAL2Kw and AHP

Abstract Tukad Badung is the major river flowing through Denpasar, capital city of Bali Province, Indonesia. It polluted by domestic dan industrial waste which contributed surrounding communities such as hotels, shopping area, animal husbandry, printing industries, tofu and tempeh industries industry, housing area. This research aims to analyse quality water determine best among options provided overcome pollution problem conducted using two analytical programs, i.e. QUAL2Kw Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP). According results analysis, several parameters River did not meet Indonesian standards stated in Regulation Number 82 Year 2001 about Water Quality Management Pollution Control. The TSS reached 111.02 kg/day, BOD 92.24 COD 440.92 kg/day. Whereas load capacity only 15.43 kg/day for TSS, 19.68 BOD, 7.45 COD. occurred was due home activities upstream part River. result (AHP) shows that “improving monitoring supervision disposal” has highest composite weight value 0.317. Among a series solutions offered, this suggests local government should take actions impose regulations on wastewater disposal stream especially small middle-size enterprises.
